Air Tahiti Nui chooses Amadeus to transform its technology infrastructure

Amadeus’ Altéa Suite and other IT solutions to help Air Tahiti Nui provide a more seamless, personalised experience to customers.

BANGKOK, Thailand – As a Tahitian face to the rest of the world, Air Tahiti Nui takes pride in demonstrating the hospitality, beauty and relaxed nature of its nation’s people in every detail of the airline. On 14 June, Air Tahiti Nui and Amadeus announced a landmark agreement to take this commitment to the next level – by transforming the airline’s customer experience with a new suite of advanced technology solutions.

Through this partnership, Air Tahiti Nui will adopt the Amadeus Altéa Suite to enhance its reservations, inventory, check-in and departure control processes. The airline has also signed for Amadeus Segment Revenue Management, Amadeus Loyalty Management and Amadeus Payment Platform. Fully integrated, these next-generation technology solutions will drive a new standard of efficiency, profitability and customer experience for Air Tahiti Nui.

Michel Monsoisin, Chief Executive Officer, Air Tahiti Nui, said of the partnership, “Air Tahiti Nui is in a transformative phase right now. We have already taken the decision to replace our entire aircraft fleet, and next we must make sure we have the most advanced technology infrastructure in place to set us up for success. Technology will play a pivotal role not only in driving operational efficiencies for our business but also in providing a seamless, comfortable experience to our customers. Working with the right technology partner is critical, and we are confident we’ve made the best decision in choosing Amadeus. Amadeus has an excellent track record in delivering reliable, cutting edge solutions for airlines worldwide, and it’s a community that we are excited to be a part of.

Air Tahiti Nui joins more than 120 airlines globally contracted to use the full Altéa Suite, including most of the major airlines in Asia Pacific. Beyond the Altéa Suite, Air Tahiti Nui will adopt the following solutions to improve profitability and deliver greater personalisation and convenience to travellers:

 – Altéa Segment Revenue Management will help Air Tahiti Nui maximise revenue through innovative demand forecasting techniques combined with real time data exchange.
 – Amadeus Loyalty Management will enable Air Tahiti Nui to make personalised offers and promotions that meet the needs and expectations of their customers, turning the loyalty programme into a profit centre for the airline.
 – Amadeus Payment Platform connects directly to acquiring banks, payment service providers, fraud management and other payment-related solutions, helping airlines to protect revenues, increase sales and reduce payment costs.

Sunil Joseph, Regional Director Airline Business Group, South Pacific, Amadeus IT Group said, “Amadeus warmly welcomes Air Tahiti Nui into the growing Amadeus Altéa community. They have a clear vision to take their business to the next level, one that is anchored on customer-centricity, and we are pleased that they have chosen us to support them on that journey. Our advanced technology solutions will enable them to remain at the forefront of change and continue to innovate in an increasingly competitive market. At the same time, this agreement further strengthens Amadeus’ position as the regional and global leader in Passenger Service Systems.
