Lufthansa German Airlines has launched a service of five weekly flights this month between Munich of southern Germany and Guangzhou of south China, said UweMuller, Lufthansa`s vice-president for Asia and the Pacific, Thursday.
Guangzhou has thus become the group`s fourth destination in China, after Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The flights will shuttle between Guangzhou and Munich each week,with a stopover in Shanghai.
From April 1, Lufthansa will add two more flights, so as to ensure one flight each day between Guangzhou and Munich, said Muller.
All the flights will use Airbus A340-300s.
The flights will take about ten hours.
