Aeromexico increases flights between Mexico and Asia

For the first time in history Mexican airline will be offering seven weekly flights between Mexico and the Asian continent, with a total of more than 3,500 available seats.

MEXICO CITY – Aeromexico, Mexico’s biggest airline, announces that starting in July it will be operating seven weekly flights to and from Asia, promoting Mexico’s bilateral relations with Japan and China.

Starting in April, Aeromexico will add its fourth weekly flight to and from Tokyo, while in July it will add its third weekly flight to and from Shanghai, consolidating its position as the only Latin American airline to unite these cities with the capital of Mexico.

For more than seven years, Aeromexico has been the only Latin American airline to fly to Asia. The increase in these new schedules will make it possible to meet the travel demand of the Asian market, and provide some 3,500 seats on a weekly basis for the benefit of all its customers.
Flights to and from Tokyo will make use of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which was first deployed on this route in October of 2013, offering passengers a new travel experience. The new flight to and from Japan, will have the following schedule:

Mexico City – Tokyo
Tokyo – Mexico City
Mexico City – Shanghai
Shanghai – Mexico City

Because of these two routes, Aeromexico is offering to Mexican as well as Latin American travelers the possibility of land, sea and air connections to incredible destinations such as: Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Nara, Kyoto, Tokyo, in Japan; as well as Shanghai, Beijing and Canton in China. On the other hand, passengers from Asia can travel on Aeromexico’s extensive network in the Americas, including 47 cities in Mexico, 16 in North America and 13 in Latin America.
