CLIA announces details of 2016 Cruise360 Conference

The third Cruise360 conference to be staged in Australia, this year’s event will focus on the theme of Navigating the Future, with panel sessions and presentations looking at the future impact of the cruise industry across Australasia and from a global perspective.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has announced details of its annual Cruise360 Australasia industry conference, which will take place at The Star Event Centre on Friday September 16.
 
CLIA President and CEO Cindy D’Aoust will be the headline act in a program packed with local and international speakers. In her first visit to Australia since assuming the helm at CLIA, Ms D’Aoust will make the opening address on the global state of the industry.
 
The third Cruise360 conference to be staged in Australia, this year’s event will focus on the theme of Navigating the Future, with panel sessions and presentations looking at the future impact of the cruise industry across Australasia and from a global perspective.
 
Panelists from leading cruise lines will include P&O Cruises President Sture Myrmell, Ponant Chairman Asia Pacific Sarina Bratton, Royal Caribbean International Managing Director Australia New Zealand Adam Armstrong, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Executive Vice President International Business Development Harry Sommer and APT Executive General Manager Global Sales and Marketing Debra Fox.
 
In line with the theme, social researcher and bestselling author Michael McQueen will present a keynote speech on the “Battle for Relevance”, addressing how cruise-focused agents can ensure future success by making the most of opportunities brought about by rapid change.
 
Meanwhile well-known radio and television host and leading business commentator Ross Greenwood will MC the event.
 
CLIA Australasia Commercial Director Brett Jardine said Cruise360 was the must-attend event for travel agents looking to increase their share of the booming cruise industry.
 
“Each year, Cruise360 gets bigger and better. With a high profile MC, an impressive field of guest speakers and a comprehensive trade show, this year’s program will help agents navigate the future of cruising,” Mr Jardine said. 
 
“Cruise360 will be the perfect forum to educate and inspire agents as we head into another record summer cruise season.”
 
Attendees will have the chance to meet with cruise line representatives and other significant industry suppliers at a business-oriented trade show throughout the day. The gold sponsors of this year’s event are Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
