Travelplan Australia chooses Ski.com to revolutionize their online booking and reservation processes and technologies

Through this new collaboration with Ski.com, Travelplan will now be able to merchandize its products more efficiently in Australia with dynamic pricing.

ASPEN, Colo. – Ski.com announced a collaboration with Travelplan, aligning the largest providers of ski vacation packages in North America and Australia respectively. Through this new relationship, Travelplan will integrate Ski.com’s proprietary booking engine and quote-in-the-cloud technologies into its website to provide customers real-time access to Ski.com’s industry-leading inventory of hotels, condominiums, private homes, lift tickets, flights, ground transportation, rental equipment and more at 120-plus resorts in North America, Europe, Japan and South America. Travelplan’s team of consultants, located in Sydney, Melbourne and throughout Australia, will also use Ski.com’s proprietary reservations system to view inventory, create quotes and book vacations.

Australia is one of the most important international markets for many resorts in North America, Europe and Japan. Through this new collaboration with Ski.com, Travelplan will now be able to merchandize its products more efficiently in Australia with dynamic pricing, allowing customers to quickly and easily find available inventory and book their ski vacations immediately through the Travelplan website or on the phone with a Travelplan consultant.

“After exploring several options for technology, live inventory and reservation solutions, we determined that Ski.com is unquestionably the best company to work with to drive more bookings, both online and directly with a consultant,” said Toby Withers, director of Travelplan. “At its core, Ski.com has a very similar business model to ours, which means they have an inherent knowledge of what we do and a comprehensive understanding of our overall business goals. Because of this, our utilization of Ski.com’s technologies will be swift and seamless.”

“We are very proud and excited to announce this new relationship in Australia with Travelplan, a company for which we have a tremendous amount of respect,” said Harry Peisach, president and CEO of Ski.com. “Travelplan is the perfect company for Ski.com to affiliate itself with in Australia. Our companies have the same corporate values, we do business in the same manner, and we look forward to working with them to integrate our technologies and send more Australian skiers and snowboarders to the suppliers in our inventory.”

The booking engine and reservation system integration is expected to be completed by June 1, 2016, in time for the main selling season in Australia.
