New EVA, Air Canada co-share adds convenience, connections in Asia and Canada

EVA offers five flights a week from Taipei, Taiwan to both Toronto and Vancouver. The new code-share gives the airline’s Canada-bound passengers greater flexibility in planning business and leisure itineraries.

TAIPEI, Taiwan – Star Alliance members EVA Air and Air Canada began code-sharing fights on 10 March, 2016, making travel to/from Asia and Canada more convenient and extending services for both airlines’ passengers. Under the code-share, Air Canada passengers can take EVA-operated flights from Tokyo’s Narita and Seoul’s Incheon airports to both Taoyuan and Kaohsiung International Airports in Taiwan. EVA passengers can fly Air Canada onward from Vancouver to Calgary and Edmonton and from Toronto to Montreal.

EVA offers five flights a week from Taipei, Taiwan to both Toronto and Vancouver. The new code-share gives the airline’s Canada-bound passengers greater flexibility in planning business and leisure itineraries. It also enhances the flight network between EVA and Air Canada. It meets needs of passengers from Taiwan by providing them with onward flights to Canada’s leading interior cities. With green landscapes and French-Canadian charm, Montreal is a thriving financial center and home to a top university. The largest city between Vancouver and Toronto, Calgary is a bustling economic hub, famous for its annual Stampede and an easy drive from the breathtaking scenery, recreational activities and popular resorts in Banff and Lake Louise.

North America continues to be an important market for EVA and the airline is focused on further developing its potential. EVA flies to Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. From these gateways, it offers more flights and seat capacity between the North America and Taiwan than any other airline. It also extends its market throughout the Southwest, Midwest and Northeast, serving steadily growing numbers of business and leisure passengers traveling to and from Asia.

EVA has steadily expanded passenger benefits and conveniences through cooperation with other member airlines since it joined Star Alliance in June 2013. In addition to Air Canada, the airline code-shares with Singapore Airlines and significantly strengthens its reach and network within Europe through cooperation with Turkish Airlines. EVA will continue to develop code-share relationships with other member airlines, expand routes and increase frequency to provide passengers of all Star Alliance members with seamless services to every corner of the world.
