The lucky passenger, Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc arrived on flight VJ360 from Ho Chi Minh City to the newly furbished Tho Xuan Airport, located in Northern Vietnam.
SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Vietjet) has welcomed its 19 millionth passenger, marking a milestone achievement for the airline after just four years of operations.
The lucky passenger, Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc arrived on flight VJ360 from Ho Chi Minh City to the newly furbished Tho Xuan Airport, located in Northern Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc will enjoy complimentary flights with Vietjet for a whole year.
Attending an event to mark the occasion were officials from the Ministry of Transport, Vietnam, Airports Corporation of Vietnam and authorities from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Luu Duc Khanh, Managing Director of Vietjet said, “I would like to send our warmest congratulations to authorities of Tho Xuan Airport. The upgrade of this airport will meet the increasing demand of passengers and contribute positively towards infrastructure and national economic development in the future.”
“We plan to open new routes in Vietnam and other countries to enhance cultural and economic ties, and believe the number of passengers will continuously increase in the coming years,” Mr. Luu Duc Khanh added.
With a fleet of 32 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, Vietjet now operates 200 flights per day. The airline currently operates 44 domestic and international routes across the region, including destinations such as Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan and Cambodia.
