On the Go expands into Japanese market

Tour operator launches new travel range to meet consumer demand for 2016.

On the Go Tours – the award-winning tour operator specialising in locally lead group tours and tailor-made holidays to worldwide destinations – has launched a selection of tours, across Japan; tipped as next year’s must-visit destination.

Following a surge in demand from travellers and Japan’s position as a ‘bucket list’ destination, On The Go Tours has extended its product offering to include the dynamic country. The recent increase in flight services has also played an important role in their decision to progress into the region.

Carl Cross, managing director at On The Go Tours, said “Japan has always been on our radar and it’s a popular destination because it truly has something for everyone: shopping, skiing, the great outdoors, a bustling and culture-rich society with amazing food and nightlife. We’ve also seen a surge in demand from our most loyal customers; individuals that have travelled with us on multiple occasions, who named Japan their ‘bucket list destination for 2016.’ This indicated that the demand was there and we wanted to make the most of it.

In addition, with a lower Yen, better air access and a rise in European carrier flights from the UK to Asia, flights have never been cheaper.”

With the first tour scheduled for the 5 March 2016, each tour is designed to showcase the country’s distinctive culture and one-of-a-kind landscapes. Offering flexible itineraries ranging from eight to 14 days across three collections: Japan Group Tours, Private Tours and Festival Tours. The travel company is also offering private tours in the region and all tours will operate with the support of carefully selected specialist, local guides.

Exploring the very best of Japan’s most vibrant cities – including Tokyo, Kyoto and historical Hiroshima – each tour will also take a step back in time to the ancient towns and temples of Tsumago, the jewel of the Kiso Valley, and through the iconic Gion Geisha District. Journeys will also incorporate the great outdoors, with visits to national parks, hot springs for a spot of outdoor swimming and roaming the country’s vast Cherry Blossom gardens.

With so much to see and do, the new range offers flexible itineraries, starting from £1,169 per person, are split into three tour groups: Group Tours, Festival Tours and Private Tours. Each tour promises to offer fascinating experiences, with exciting days and comfortable nights.

Beginning as a two-man start-up in 1998, On The Go Tours has grown into a small global company, with a purposeful local ethos and an international team of travel professionals to ensure the highest level of service.
