With over 550 exhibitors due to attend the annual four-day event from June 1-4, 2015 sees a number of exciting new trends and diverse portfolio of companies attending than ever before.

Luxury adventure travel is seeing a huge surge in popularity for Asia travelers in 2015. This year at ILTM will see record numbers of companies promoting Wildlife and Safari experiences, 13 exhibitors featuring some of the world’s natural wonders, and five extreme adventure exhibitors that include cruises and expeditions to the North Pole, Antarctica and the High Arctic. Marketing operation Iceland Luxury will be present to promote the country, its natural sights, hotels and luxury operators. While German company Awayfromitall are bringing one-of-a-kind active travel experiences from hardcore adventure to biking, hiking and skiing.

Skiing and winter sports are seeing a huge surge in popularity with Asia’s travelers heading to the ski slopes. The coming years will see a continued increase as anticipation builds around the next two Winter Olympics being in Asia (2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea and 2022 in either Beijing or Almaty). With that in mind ILTM Asia is welcoming 21 different ski resorts and operators from around the world as exhibitors. Austrian ski destination Lech Zurs will be at ILTM Asia as it continues to establish itself as an iconic winter sports eldorado with world class gastronomy.

ILTM Asia is seeing an increase in Asian interest in the likes of the Bahamas with Baha Mar, and on the ski slopes with destinations like Lech Zurs

Private luxury experiences on the seas and the skies are increasingly interesting to the Asia market with yachting and sailing holidays seeing big growth in terms of travelers from Asia and will be represented by 12 yacht and sailing companies at ILTM Asia 2015. For a truly unique point of view and at the top end of the luxury travel experience sector, private jets and helicopters are represented by six exhibitors.

2015 at ILTM Asia also has more destination and resort exhibitors from Latin America (20) and the Caribbean (14) than ever before, as independent Asian luxury travelers look further afield in search of the perfect trip. Leading the charge is Baha Mar – the largest luxury resort project in the history of the Caribbean based in Nassau, The Bahamas, that features Hotels, Resorts and Casinos.

Testament to these latest travel trends, ILTM Asia will see a new wave of over 48% of its 500-plus buyers being brand new to the show and 40% will be from China alone, on whom the world’s luxury travel eyes are firmly fixed. The quality of these luxury buyers is key to ensuring the best experiences in the world are shared with Asia’s most discerning travelers.

Alison Gilmore, Senior Exhibition Director, ILTM Portfolio says: “With increasing numbers of wealthy travellers seeking new experiences across all four corners of the world, there are also increasing numbers of specialist buyers who are creating their bespoke itineraries. In addition, we continually seek the new ‘rising stars’ in Chinese luxury travel to introduce them to our global exhibitors who represent global luxury travel choices from private jets and ski resorts to cruises and safaris, boutique hotels to well-known hotel brands, capital cities to resorts and spas.
