Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts brings its world-renowned hospitality from the heart to Tianjin, a hidden gem in Northern China.
TIANJIN, China – Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin‘s reservation lines are now open for guestroom and event bookings. Catering to both business and leisure travellers, the hotel will open its doors on 8 August 2014 with an introductory rate. The rate includes accommodation in a Deluxe River View Room, breakfast, 20 per cent savings on laundry and a treatment at CHI, The Spa.
The 304-room hotel is located in the new development area of Hedong District beside the city’s famous Haihe River. All guestrooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the river and Tianjin’s signature colonial architecture lining the riverbank. Rooms start from a comfortable 48 square metres and are furnished in natural shades of light teakwood, gold and sea blue. Thirty-nine units of serviced apartments ranging from studios to one and two bedrooms are available for mid- to long-term accommodation.
The hotel offers the largest banquet and meeting facilities in the city. Its 1,956-square-metre Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,700 people; the Junior Ballroom is 380 square metres in size and features a spacious outdoor terrace with a breathtaking view of the city and river. Headed by Executive Chinese Chef Oliver Lai from Hong Kong, Shangri-La’s signature Shang Palace restaurant presents authentic Cantonese cuisine with local specialties by a team of skilled culinary experts.
