Abhishek Shevade joins W Goa as Director of Beverage, bringing his extensive global hospitality and mixology expertise to enhance the hotel’s beverage experience.
INDIA – W Hotels announced the appointment of Abhishek Shevade as the new Director of Beverage at W Goa. With an extensive and impressive background in the hospitality industry, Abhishek brings a wealth of experience to the luxurious destination that is W Goa.
Abhishek dedicated his early years to diligently honing the intricacies of the profession. Abhishek’s passion has set the stage for an exploration of recipe experimentations, delving deeply into acquiring extensive knowledge about diverse processes.
He has a distinguished career, having worked with some of the most renowned names in the hospitality industry. He spent three years at Four Seasons Mumbai, followed by a year at Hyatt Regency Gurgaon, and two years at Sheraton Pune. Abhishek then expanded his expertise internationally, working for three years at Four Seasons Maldives. His global exposure includes a stint at Four Seasons Riyadh, participation in a bar competition in Thailand (Krabi), and an opportunity to work with the Manhattan Singapore. His passion for mixology and dedication to his craft is evident through his participation in renowned competitions such as Diageo World Class 2014, Corellijo Tequila Competition 2014, Diageo World Class 2015 (top 20 selection from India), Bacardi Legacy 2014/2015, National Finalist for Monkey Shoulder 2018 and National Finalist for Corellijo Tequila Competition 2019. Abhishek also achieved the remarkable feat of being a National Finalist for Bacardi Legacy in both 2018 and 2019.
In his current position, Abhishek will lead the bar programs at the hotel and its various award-winning B&F destinations such as Woobar, Sylvia, Spice Traders, The Kitchen Table and Rockpool. As the Beverage custodian at W Goa, he aims to consistently introduce the city to global beverage innovations and continue positioning the hotel as Goa’s premier destination for beverages.
