BANGKOK, THAILAND – Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok announced the appointment of Manuel Llamas Velasco as the new Food & Beverage Director. With an impressive career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry and experience gained in numerous countries worldwide, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team.
In his new role, Mr Manuel will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s F&B operations, including its four restaurants, two bars, and in-room dining. He will also work closely with the hotel’s culinary team to create new and exciting dining experiences.
Born into a family with a rich tradition of owning restaurants in Spain, Manuel’s journey in the world of hospitality began at a young age, working as a waiter in his grandmother’s restaurant. His diverse experiences have allowed him to gain invaluable insights into different culinary cultures and refine his skills in delivering world-class F&B services.
Before joining Sindhorn Kempinski Bangkok, Manuel held the position of Executive Assistant Manager and F&B Director at the prestigious Mia Saigon, a luxury boutique hotel. His illustrious career also includes roles such as Assistant F&B Director at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo, Assistant F&B Director at Hotel des Arts Saigon – MGallery, and Beverage Manager at Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi.
Manuel’s commitment and passion for the industry is evident through his educational achievements, which include a degree in F&B Management from the School of Hotel Management in Madrid, International Certified Sommelier accreditation from the Court of Master Sommelier, an Advanced Certificate in Wine & Spirits from WSET Melbourne, and a Sommelier & Wine Arts Diploma from the Camara de Comercio de Madrid.
“We are thrilled to welcome Manuel to Sindhorn Kempinski Bangkok,” said Christian Ruge, General Manager of the hotel. “His extensive experience and passion for F&B will be a valuable asset to our team, and we are confident he will lead our award-winning F&B operations to new heights.”
