IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2023: Previewing Bangkok’s MICE and Golf Infrastructure

IT&CMA pre-show activities

Explore how the upcoming IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2023, the leading MICE and Corporate Travel events, offer unique pre-show activities in Bangkok, providing insights into the city’s cultural heritage and golfing infrastructure.

In the rapidly changing landscape of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific have consistently stood as leading platforms for fostering business growth and best practices. As Asia-Pacific’s most significant event in the MICE and Corporate Travel sector, these co-located events have navigated through the challenging times, offering successful virtual editions in 2020 and 2021, and a hybrid event in 2022. This year, IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific resume a 100% in-person event in Bangkok, Thailand, demonstrating the resilience and forward momentum of the industry.

These key events, returning to Bangkok after a three-year digital and hybrid pivot, celebrate a combined history of over five decades in cultivating the MICE business and Corporate Travel and Entertainment (T&E) practices. They continue to engage industry suppliers and buyers through comprehensive programs focused on business, education, and networking. However, beyond the main event, two pre-show activities stand out as significant opportunities for attendees to acquaint themselves with the local offerings of Bangkok and the city’s golf infrastructure.

The first of these activities, “Heritage, Usage, Continuance,” is a pre-tour hosted by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau. This pre-show activity is an invitation to discover Bangkok, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant cityscape. Scheduled for September 25, 2023, the half-day tour offers an immersive experience of the city’s key attractions, cultural traditions, and local handicrafts, demonstrating why Bangkok is considered one of the world’s best attractions.

One of the tour highlights includes the exploration of the heritage river, the Chao Praya. Known as the King’s River, the relationship between the Thai people and the river is a testament to Thailand’s historical richness. This pre-tour is not just an exciting prospect for cultural exposure but also provides a chance to understand the potential of local destinations for MICE activities.

Concurrently, IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific are also offering a unique opportunity for buyers and media to familiarize themselves with Bangkok’s golf infrastructure through the “IT&CMA FAM Trip to Topgolf Megacity.” The trip, which is hosted by Topgolf Megacity, presents a comprehensive tour of what the venue has to offer, from its sports bar to an outdoor event lawn and an 18-hole mini-golf.

The itinerary includes a range of activities from a putting clinic by a professional instructor to team-building games at the hitting bays, complemented with food and drinks. This excursion not only showcases the high-quality facilities of Topgolf Megacity but also highlights the capacity of the city’s golf infrastructure for corporate and leisure events.

These pre-show activities, offered complimentary for buyers and media, represent an integral part of the IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific experience, providing a hands-on preview of Bangkok’s capacity to host world-class corporate and MICE events. Attendees not only gain first-hand insights into the city’s cultural richness and golfing facilities but also the potential opportunities these assets bring to the ever-evolving MICE industry.
