As anticipation continues to grow ahead of TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, TFWA has announced the program for the event, which takes place at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 12th to 16th May.
As always, the event will get off to a flying start with the TFWA Asia Pacific Conference, which will see some of the industry’s brightest minds taking to the stage to debate the industry’s most pressing topics. The conference will open with a state of the industry address from TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen. This will be followed by remarks from APTRA President Sunil Tuli and His Excellency Alvin Tan, Minister of Trade and Industry for Singapore.
Author and economist Keyu Jin will outline her perspectives on the economic outlook of Asia Pacific and analyze the macroeconomic challenges in the region. Business marketing expert and author Nirmalya Kumar will then take to the stage to discuss the growing importance of the Indian market and the vast opportunities presented throughout the region. Closing the conference, physicist, author and professor, Dr Michio Kaku will paint a picture of what comes next in the ever-evolving world of tech advancement and predict how this might impact the duty-free and travel retail industry.
Conference moderators are former AirAsiaX CEO, Azran Osman-Rani and TFWA Conference Director Michele Miranda.
This year, for the first time, the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition will open on the same day as the conference, with delegates having access to the exhibition from 2.30 pm.
There will also be plenty of insights on offer over the course of two informative workshops, ‘China Watch’ and ‘Decoding Today’s Dwell Time’. Taking place over breakfast from 8 to 9 am, these sessions will delve into key trends currently affecting duty-free and travel retail. Keep a close eye on TFWA’s social channels as we confirm the line-up of distinguished speakers.
