The programme has been released for the 2 day intensive ICCA forum for young professionals in the meetings industry being held in conjunction with AIME 2006. Registration is now open and with limited places available, the forum is sure to fill quickly.

Youth Forum manager Elizabeth Rich said the ICCA forum is a rare opportunity to learn from some of the most respected leaders in the industry. Around 20 participants each year enjoy a unique experience of networking with their peers and leading industry personnel in an intimate forum environment. Thirteen senior industry practitioners from Australia and Asia have volunteered their time to share their expertise with newcomers to the industry over two days.

Speakers and panel participants include: Leigh Harry, Chief Executive, Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre and First Vice President of ICCA; Anthony Wong, ICCA Board member and Group Managing Director, Asian Overland Services Tours and Travel, Malaysia; Barrie Markey, Managing Director, ICMS Pty Ltd, Australia; Connie Cheng, Director, International Tourism Promotion and MICE Department, Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administrative Commission and ICCA Ambassador for China PR; Linda Gaunt, Meetings and Events Australia; Jane Vong Holmes, Manager, ICCA Asia Pacific; Michael Williams, Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau; Sharon Goldie, Manager, MLC Business Events; Rochelle Kempton, Director of Sales and Marketing, Cairns Convention Centre and Jill Henry, Perth Convention Bureau.

Subjects range from hot meetings destinations, case studies on bidding and managing meetings, industry research, through to discussions on career opportunities. As a bonus, forum registration also includes AIME 2006 Professional Development Seminars, and AIME`s welcome reception.

Offered at no charge to employees of ICCA members, the forum represents great value and an ideal opportunity to reward and encourage promising young staffers. Non ICCA members may apply for a nominal fee of AUD$220, Ms Rich said.

The Forum is hosted by ICCA Asia Pacific, with the support of AIME and the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
