Page & Moy announces the arrival of a new cruise ship for 2010

Page & Moy is delighted to announce that it will be chartering the MV Athena exclusively for its 2010 summer season. The MV Athena provides spacious cabins with mini-bars, flat screen televisions and en suite bathrooms featuring both a bath and shower, plus a range of balcony suites featuring a separate lounge and bedroom.

At 16,000 tons and a capacity of 550 passengers, the MV Athena is small enough to visit a wide range of fascinating ports and scenic sheltered waters, traditionally associated with Page & Moy. The ship has all the extensive amenities and style of a modern cruise ship. She boasts a swimming pool, two dining areas, a nightclub, auditorium/cinema, casino, library, show lounge, card and craft centre, relaxing lounges, fitness centre, sauna and beauty facilities.

Guests onboard the MV Athena will enjoy a range of entertainment along with Page & Moy’s port lecturers, guest speakers and a friendly, knowledgeable cruise team. A full programme of shore excursions will also be included.

The MV Athena will be charted by Page & Moy for a total of 44 nights.

Departing Harwich 1 May 2010 for 13 nights MV Athena will set sail for the Baltic before returning to Harwich and continuing onto Norway and Icelandic ports.

In August 2010 she will cruise south, visiting Madeira, the Canary Islands, North Africa and Iberia. Returning to Dover, she will then sail around Northern Europe for a four night mini cruise.

“We’re delighted to be chartering the MV Athena for our summer 2010 programme” says Victoria Clarke, Head of Marketing, Page & Moy. “The two sections of the season are firm favorites with our passengers who we are confident will enjoy our new ship”.
