MCI Group selects Meeting Professionals International as preferred training provider

MCI Group has selected Meeting Professionals International (MPI) as their preferred education content and training provider for the MCI Institute. MPI’s extensive body of knowledge and trainings in meetings management provides a strong fit to meet the diverse demands of MCI’s world-wide talent development strategy. In their strategy to ensure their employees are equipped to meet the needs of a global organisation and broad client base, MCI Group launched a centre for learning excellence: MCI Institute. MCI Institute coaches personnel on how to effectively manage and service teams, clients, and suppliers by offering workshops ranging from business solutions to CSR training programmes.

MCI Institute will launch a joint initiative with MPI where the first certificate programmes in meetings management will be offered in summer 2010. A select team of MCI professionals have been chosen to become MPI accredited trainers enabling the organization to deliver MPI certificate workshops in-house.

MPI’s Global Training Programmes will form part of the MCI Institute’s training series which develops MCI’s Meetings and Events professionals with the capabilities and know-how based on globally recognised standards applicable at local levels. MPI’s Global Training offers a fast track to certification and a clear career path through the delivery of four levels of certificate programmes and two certifications culminating in an Executive Leadership programme.

Commenting on the global partnership Didier Scaillet, MPI’s Chief Development Officer said: “We are delighted that MCI Group has chosen us as their preferred training provider. The programmes we’ve developed are based on a consistent and globally recognized body of knowledge.
