IHG announces a new Hotel Indigo in Bangkok’s The Forestias development, set to open in 2026, enhancing its luxury portfolio.

BANGKOK, THAILAND – IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the continued growth of its Hotel Indigo brand in Thailand through an agreement with international property developer Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC).

The 274-room Hotel Indigo The Forestias Bangkok will open in 2026 at The Forestias, a new integrated 64-hectare mixed-used development on the eastern fringe of Bangkok – the largest growth project of its kind in the country.

This eagerly awaited addition to the Hotel Indigo brand portfolio promises to offer guests an immersive stay experience close to nature through a design that draws inspiration from the rich forest eco-system around it, where nature, wildlife and people live together in harmony.

Hotel Indigo The Forestias Bangkok will be located alongside residential and office space, retail, dining and family entertainment options, expansive meeting spaces and a hospital. The Forestias will also be home to another IHG property, Six Senses The Forestias, an 85-room hotel and 27 residences development closely attached to a five-hectare forest park.

Saowarin Chanprakaisi, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia & Korea, IHG said: “MQDC and IHG have a shared vision of providing our guests with the best stay experience while operating in total harmony with the natural environment. We are thrilled to be part of this exciting project that will set the benchmark for community living.

The Hotel Indigo brand is growing in Thailand, and adds to IHG’s continued expansion in the luxury and lifestyle space. Hotel Indigo properties provide a gateway to some of the world’s most inspiring and culturally rich neighbourhoods while capturing the very spirit of their communities. Hotel Indigo The Forestias Bangkok will have a strong appeal to travellers searching for an authentic hotel experience that is strongly rooted in its community and environment.”

The Hotel Indigo brand is perfect as the flagship hotel for The Forestias thanks to a design philosophy that brings its neighbourhood to life. Through this we will see a strong connection forged between our guests, the community and the environment, and our visitors can expect to be fully immersed into the eco-educational and nature experiences offered at The Forestias.

“Combining innovation and technology, The Forestias will become a destination of the future to live, work and play in a sustainable way. More than half of the project space will be forest and green spaces rich in wildlife, with residential, community and leisure spaces sensitively integrated.”
