Two new categories included – Very light and super midsize jets

Air Partner, a world leading provider of private aviation services, is expanding its 25-hour pre-paid JetCard for private jet charter clients with the addition of two new categories of aircraft within its European service area. The categories – Very Light Jet and Super Midsize – are also included in its new 10-hour Winter JetCard aimed primarily at the ski market.

By including a four-seat Very Light Jet option Air Partner is the first in the industry to introduce a lower entry cost in a block hour charter scheme. The VLJ is ideal for short, 80-minute flights, to business destinations from the UK such as Dublin, Dusseldorf and Geneva.

The Super Midsize eight-seat category is targeted at clients who want a generous cabin in an aircraft that can perform longer trips than a Midsize jet. The Super Midsize sector embraces current popular business jets such as Bombardier’s Challenger 300 and Cessna’s Citation X and Sovereign.

The two new categories launch this week and join Air Partner’s existing Light, Midsize, Large and Global cabin offerings, increasing the choice of aircraft types from four to six.

“We are delighted to launch these two new categories coinciding with the fifth year of JetCard,” commented Air Partner Sales Director David Macdonald. “The selection of jets we offer is the widest available of any jet card today and it ensures our clients receive a service tailored exactly to their needs.”  He observes that in this current economic climate Air Partner is chartering more Very Light (or entry level) Jets to clients on an ad hoc basis.  “We are finding that people love flying in these new jets, which are proving popular with those who travel short distances in small groups.” While Embraer’s Phenom 100 is starting to arrive in the UK and Europe, a number of Cessna Citation Mustangs are already in operation.

“The inclusion of the VLJ on the JetCard opens up air charter to a far wider audience at a lower price point,” he noted. JetCard’s popularity with high net worth individuals flying increasingly for leisure use has also been a key driver in the decision to expand the jet categories,” said Macdonald.

He added: “Our clients holding US and Middle East JetCards can also enjoy using these two new categories when flying within Europe.”
