iExplore founder and CEO, George Deeb, said, Our customers continue to flock to Machu Picchu, the Incan ruins site, as Peru returns to the top of our best sellers list.
Deeb continued, 2004 clearly marked the rebound in exotic, far away destinations like India. Despite high currency exchange rates in Europe versus the U.S. dollar, sales to Italy and France improved over 2003 levels.
Bumped from last year`s top ten were: Antarctica (#11), Australia (#20), Belize (#17) and Nepal (#27). Nepal, a traditional top ten adventure destination, is suffering from the actions of Maoist rebels that increased their activities in 2004, which is impacting tourism in that country.
