Rendezvous Hotels & Resorts International (Rendezvous) will take The Marque Collection of Hotels into China with the addition of a new contemporary hotel in Guilin. The hotel, to be named The Marque Hotel, Guilin, will be managed by Rendezvous under The Marque Collection of Hotels brand.
Rendezvous is confident that The Marque Hotel, Guilin will thrive upon the anticipated strong growth of
tourist activities within the Guilin region. The hotel is expected to be ready by December 2007 and a grand opening has been scheduled for February 2008.
Guilin Tourism Board forecasts a continuation of double-digit growth for visitor numbers in 2007 and a major spike of an additional 12% in association with visitation to China for the Olympic Games in 2008. There is a steady demand for corporate conference facilities throughout the year. This will improve the hotel business during the low season.
