Mr & Mrs Smith check into SiteMinder

The award-winning Mr & Mrs Smith booking site that specialises in handpicked, stylish hotels around the world is the latest channel to connect to online hotel distributor, SiteMinder. The connection is set to dramatically speed up bookings for what Mr & Mrs Smith describes on its site as ‘boutique boltholes’.

Mr & Mrs Smith is home to more than 700 luxury spa hotels, romantic country guesthouses, elegant lodges and quirky city hotels around the world – including more than 50 plush properties in Australia. The UK-based booking site only lists accommodation that meets top-end hotel criteria confirmed by anonymous visits and reviews.

SiteMinder channel analyst Duncan Waterman said Mr & Mrs Smith was the latest distribution channel SiteMinder had added to its expanding list of connected booking sites around the world. “Mr & Mrs Smith is a unique booking site which will help SiteMinder’s hotel customers generate more room sales and ancillary revenue,” Mr Waterman said. “This connection complements and broadens SiteMinder’s expanding collection of channels that we offer to our hotel industry customers,” he said.

Mr & Mrs Smith Chief Technical Officer, Tamara Lohan said: “Our new connection with SiteMinder will streamline the booking process for our customers and give us access to more real-time inventory so we can confirm more bookings instantly, which will benefit guests and accommodation providers. The SiteMinder link will give us quicker and broader availability of rooms. Hotels will be able to update their inventory with us more easily via SiteMinder and another benefit for us will be greater rate parity so the efficiencies for Mr & Mrs Smith will prove significant, leading to a better booking process for both customers and suppliers.”
