Count the ways: Organising travel even easier with TripIt

TripIt, a leading mobile trip management service from Concur announced travelers can now easily create and enhance travel itineraries on TripIt with plans booked at over 3,000 travel and hospitality sites, triple the number from a year ago. This makes organising all the details of one’s travel plans on TripIt even easier and more useful since it now captures a broader array of travel and hospitality providers.

“We’re always hard at work improving and expanding our technology to make TripIt more useful. Many of these new sites were added based on traveler requests. We’re delighted to cross this milestone to make it simple for people to book travel plans from almost anywhere and easily organise it all in one place,” said Gregg Brockway, TripIt co-founder, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Concur’s TripIt business unit.

TripIt auto-magically creates trip itineraries from confirmation emails forwarded to plans@tripit.com and can also automatically import travel confirmations for Gmail users who securely link both accounts. TripIt is well known for organising airline, hotel, and car rental reservations, but is also capable of including everything from restaurant bookings on OpenTable, rail tickets from Amtrak and European rail systems like Deutsche Bahn, movie ticket bookings from Fandango, events from StubHub, and more to create a more truly useful and robust travel itinerary.

Among the thousands of new sites added this past year are luxury travel provider Jetsetter, airport parking service Park’N Fly, and hundreds of travel agencies that serve travelers worldwide.
