Marriott International`s Courtyard by Marriott lodging brand is coming to Hong Kong in 2007 under a management agreement reached with Tsinlien Realty Ltd. The 245-room Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong will be located on a harbor-front site in the Sai Ying Pan district on Hong Kong Island.
When opened, it will be the first internationally branded, mid-tier hotel in Hong Kong and Marriott International’s fifth hotel in the city.
“We are thrilled that visitors to Hong Kong will now have an exceptional lodging choice in the mid-tier category and are confident that business and leisure travelers coming to this vibrant city will appreciate this new Courtyard. There is no doubt that this hotel will be an instant success,” said Ed Fuller, president & managing director-international lodging for Marriott International.
The Marriott International portfolio in Hong Kong is currently represented by the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, the Renaissance Kowloon Hotel, and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Hong Kong.
