Leela Hotels forms new marketing alliance with Kempinski Hotels

Hotel Leelaventure Ltd, which owns The Leela, Goa has come to a mutually amicable separation agreement with General Hotel Management Ltd. (GHM), the company that has been operating and managing The Leela, Goa since April, 2003.

Once this agreement comes into effect from Saturday, 1st March, 2008, Hotel Leelaventure Ltd. will operate and manage The Leela, Goa, a 185 room and suite resort, under their own management. The Leela, Palaces, Hotels and Resorts brand is supported by a marketing franchise agreement with Kempinski Hotels and Resorts. The hotel will be under the name of The Leela, Kempinski, Goa.

Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Vivek Nair comments, “In view of the forthcoming openings of our new properties in Gurgaon Delhi (NCR) and Udaipur, and further expansion plans of The Leela in the next few years, we have decided to regroup all our properties under one marketing alliance with Kempinski.”  

Hotel Leelaventure Ltd. owns and operates The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa and in Kovalam (Kerala) and have new developments in Gurgaon Delhi (NCR)(opens Oct. 2008), Udaipur (opens Jan. 2009), Chennai (opens 2009), New Delhi (opens 2010),  Hyderabad and Pune (opens 2011), and associated with Kempinski Hotels.
