Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre appoints Jenice Phung as Head of Conventions and Conferences Sales

Jenice will head up the sales team responsible for securing international and national association conferences and conventions in order to grow the Centre’s Business Events market share.

KUALA LUMPUR – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) is delighted to announce the appointment of its new team member, Jenice Phung, as its Head of Conventions and Conferences Sales.
 
In her new role, Jenice will head up the sales team responsible for securing international and national association conferences and conventions in order to grow the Centre’s Business Events market share.
 
Jenice brings with her over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry working in progressive roles with leading international hotels, and has accumulated vast knowledge and skills in catering sales, corporate events, and international conference and convention sales.
 
Angeline van den Broecke, the Centre’s Director of Sales and Marketing shared, “We are delighted to welcome Jenice to the team and are confident that the Centre will benefit immensely from her extensive senior level experience.”

Since its opening in June 2005, the Centre has hosted 11,679 events, of which 372 were high-profile local and international conferences and conventions. The Centre looks forward to welcoming more conferences and conventions in the next quarter including Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) Conference 2016, International Forum on Disability Management (IFDM) 2016 and the 8th Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF8) 2016.
