Experts to take the stage at new AIME Knowledge seminars

AIME Knowledge features sixteen sessions during which high profile speakers and industry experts will present and lead discussions on a range of topics covering all aspects of the meetings and incentives industry.

Personal and professional development will be a major focus of the 2013 Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) with the announcement of a refreshed education program AIME Knowledge – now offering two streams of insightful sessions over the two days of the show.

The program for AIME Knowledge features sixteen sessions during which high profile speakers and industry experts will present and lead discussions on a range of topics covering all aspects of the meetings and incentives industry.

High profile speakers for 2013 include: Megan Quinn, renowned co-founder of Net-A-Porter, the world’s premier online luxury fashion retailer; Nigel Collin, author and CEO of creative business development company, Thinkativity; and Freddy Sharpe, CEO of Climate Friendly, Australia’s leading carbon management business.

Sally de Swart, Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) Director for AIME, said she encourages meeting professionals and employers to take advantage of the value offered in this program.

“With such a wide range of speakers and topics, this is certainly one of the industry’s most comprehensive education programs and if you compare the cost with other industry education sessions it is incredible value,” she said.

By partnering once again with key industry associations – International Special Events Society (ISES), the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Meetings & Events Australia (MEA), the Professional Conference Organisers Association (PCO), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Associations Forum, AIME Knowledge will target the most relevant issues and challenges faced by industry professionals.

Topics include how to maximise the effectiveness of communication strategies, how to productively communicate with industry partners and key suppliers, as well as how to embrace technology but not dilute the value of face-to-face meetings.

A full stream of the education program, to run on Tuesday, 26 February, has been developed in partnership with the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), with a specific focus on issues related to business travel. Issues covered include employee travel and duty of care, the effect of carbon pricing, and the positive impact of the rise in mobile technology.
