The Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) announces the launch of the DMAI Career Center, an interactive job board. With its focus on destination marketing industry companies, the DMAI Career Center offers members-and the destination marketing industry at large-an easy-to-use, highly targeted resource for online employment connections.
“Having strong team talent is an essential component for any organization’s success, and has never been more necessary than in today’s climate,” said Dan Fenton, DMAI Board Chair and CEO of Team San Jose. “DMAI’s new Career Center is a direct response to this critical need, enabling employers in the destination marketing industry to attract first-rate talent with a minimum expenditure of time and resources. DMAI’s new Social Responsibility Committee will also focus on how to attract and recruit a diverse group of future leaders for our industry.”
Employers can post jobs online, search for qualified candidates based on specific job criteria, and create an online resume agent to be notified daily via email of qualified candidates. They also benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics. Interested employers are also able to post internship opportunities at no cost.
“We are very excited about the new DMAI Career Center,” said Michael D. Gehrisch, president & CEO of DMAI. “It’s equally important for us to assist our industry organizations in top talent recruitment, and to help enable smooth career transitions for those seeking new jobs or job growth in destination marketing.”
For job seekers, the DMAI Career Center is a free service that provides access to employers and jobs in the destination marketing industry. In addition to confidentially posting their resumes at no cost, job seekers can browse and view available jobs based on their criteria and save those jobs for later review if they choose. Job seekers can also create a search agent to provide email notifications of jobs that match their criteria.
