Cvent releases eBook to help event planners boost attendance with Social Media

Cvent, the world’s largest provider of online event management, meeting site selection and web survey solutions, released a free eBook, “Event Marketing 2.0: How to Boost Event Attendance through Social Media,” that offers the practical tips and best practices event planners need to effectively market their events through social media.

“Networking opportunities and educational content are two key reasons why people attend events. Social media is ideal for extending the reach of these event elements, making social channels a natural fit for event marketing,” said Eric Eden, Vice President of Marketing at Cvent. “For planners, learning how to effectively leverage social networks to market their events is key because it broadens their access to millions of potential attendees. Our eBook provides a compilation of tried-and-true tactics to help event planners better understand and execute social media marketing campaigns that will deliver quantifiable results, such as increased registrations.”

Highlights of the eBook include:

  • Pointers for developing a solid social media marketing strategy;
  • Tips on how to use the most relevant social media channels to effectively engage your audience;
  • Techniques for building a social infrastructure for your event;
  • Insight into how to leverage registrants to broaden awareness for your event; and
  • Guidance on how to integrate social media with your event invitations, online registration and event website.

The release of Cvent’s eBook comes on the heels of recent social media enhancements to Cvent’s web-based event management system, including the ability to easily share and promote events through social media channels; embed live feeds from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube on event websites; and allow attendees to share links to their social media profiles with the event organizer and other attendees, among other features.
