Golden Tulip opens another hotel in Thailand

Golden Tulip Hotels has signed an agreement for the management of the newly to be opened Golden Tulip Samudra Hua Hin. The hotel is an all suite property located in Hua Hin Thailand and is part of The Samudra Hua Hin, an integrated Resort. The hotel is scheduled to open in August 2011 and comprises of large Studios, luxurious one and two bedroom Suites as well as spacious Lofts.

The hotel is the first phase of the development of the integrated resort Samudra Hua Hin, which in the next phases will feature Samudra Villas and a large resort hotel. Golden Tulip Samudra will be positioned as a “boutique property” with large pools and offering a modern cafe / restaurant and a trendy rooftop outlet overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.

Mark van Ogtrop, MD of Golden Tulip South East Asia, signed the management agreement with Mr Michael Thomas, COO of The Retreat Hua Hin Co, Ltd., owning company of Samudra Hua Hin.

The infrastructure is also maturing and we strongly believe in the future of Hua Hin and Cha-Am as a boutique destination. This hotel will furthermore strengthen the footprint of Golden Tulip in Thailand, being the fourth hotel to open in the country for the group.”

Michael Thomas, COO of The Retreat Hua Hin: “We are very pleased to enter into an agreement with Golden Tulip and to launch the first phase of Samudra Hua Hin with this hotel under the Golden Tulip flag. We look forward to successfully position the property and to be able to continue the development of the other phases of the integrated resort.”
