Carrera Systems wins united Co-op travel business

Carrera Systems Ltd. announced the signing of a deal with United Co-op Travel Group, for the implementation of the TravelPower mid/back office travel booking system. Carrera Systems` solution will be supplied to United Co-operatives` twelve Business Travel locations.

The new mid/back office system will be hosted at United Co-op Travel Group`s head office in Stoke with the 12 locations accessing TravelPower via a VPN (virtual private network) and Terminal Services. United Co-op Travel Group operation of TravelPower will begin 1st October, 2005 for the initial locations, with the remainder being phased in by December 2005. This was a highly competitive situation with United Co-op Travel looking at numerous systems before choosing TravelPower, commented John Richardson, Managing Director of Carrera Systems. It is a major endorsement of the product that such a large travel company should choose our solution.

Dave Picking, General Manager, Travel System, United Co-op Travel Group said, We were particularly impressed at the high level of integration and automation of the TravelPower solution. We could immediately identify a number of areas where TravelPower would save us time and therefore, money. Another key factor was the use of mainstream technology such as MS SQL/Server, allowing us considerable flexibility for reporting and data manipulation.
