The Hon. Richard Ricky O. Skerritt Minister of State in the St. Kitts & Nevis Ministry of Tourism, Sports & Culture will be on the St Kitts Stand CA3010. St Kitts and Nevis will be hosting 6 International one day matches during the 2007 World Cup Cricket and Minister Skerritt as well as being a keen cricketer was the first full time Manager of the West Indies Cricket team prior to his ministerial appointment.

The bid had the support of all political parties and demonstrated the effectiveness of the public and private sectors working closely together. The appointment of St. Kitts as a venue will also bring new career opportunities for the community, whose leadership and management skills will be sought by the organising committee responsible for the management of the event in St. Kitts.
