The word “Budget” is not used as a ‘stick’ to enforce strict planning and control, but rather used as a ‘tool’ to estimate revenue and expenses over a period of time. A budget can be made for a business, government, country and even for family household financial purposes.
 
It is very important that Hotel Sales & Marketing Teams have an understanding of how this process works, what their roles are and what expectations there are for the Hotel to achieve the BUDGET.
