ZUJI and Tourism Authority of Thailand signs first regional partnership

ZUJI, the region’s leading online travel agency, announced its commitment to support Thailand through a regional partnership with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).  A relationship that began in 2009 with ZUJI Singapore, ZUJI is now expanding its attractive offers for intra-Asia leisure travelers across all its sites in the Asia Pacific region.

“We are saddened by the news of the damages experienced in Southern Thailand due to severe flooding and mudslides. The patience and resilience of the Thai people in these challenging times are admirable. Thailand remains the premier destination for intra-Asia leisure travel and we are proud to work with TAT to deliver an exciting and enriching experience to our customers,” said Phang Shueh Chyan, Director of Marketing ZUJI Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.

Thailand’s tourism sector has been on a strong growth path since mid-2010 and ZUJI will lend its full support to sustain the trend, which yielded 1.8 million tourist arrivals and helped buoy hotel occupancy in February.

“Bangkok is consistently a preferred leisure destination across our websites in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and India, and has seen a strong 50 percent year-on-year volume increase in 2010. The partnership is especially timely with the Thai Song Kran holiday around the corner,” Phang added.

To launch this partnership, ZUJI Asia Pacific sites will run hotel promotions specially featuring Bangkok as a key destination throughout April in the lead up to the popular Song Kran festival from 13-15 April.
