TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific Appoints Sirima Eamtako as ‘Editor-in-Chief’

Sirima will be responsible for the editorial aspects of TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific as well as representing the publication at media activities as appropriate.

Bangkok, Thailand – TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific has named Sirima Eamtako as ‘Editor-in-Chief’ of its online portal effective as of 1 May 2019.

Theodore Koumelis, Co-Founder and Managing Editor of TravelDailyNews Media Network, announces the appointment of Sirima saying she will be responsible for the editorial aspects of TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific as well as representing the publication at media activities as appropriate.

“Sirima’s wealth of travel trade experience, both as journalist and public relations professional, will benefit the TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific brand and media profile and we are delighted to welcome her to the team,” Theodore said.

Started in 1999, Travel Media Applications the parent publishing company, launched with TravelDailyNews International and TravelDailyNews Greece & Cyprus before added TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific to its portfolio in 2012. TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific publishes the latest news from Asia-Pacific region with an emphasis on Southeast Asia, keeping travel and hospitality professionals from around the world informed on trends and developments in this vibrant and fast-growing part of the world.

Before establishing The Amiris in August 2011, Sirima spent more than 15 years as an international travel trade journalist, including seven years with Singapore-based TTG Asia Media where she was the Country Editor for Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos. She has also written for various other publications including the TTR Weekly, Travel Asia and micenetASIA. As a public relations and marketing communications professional, Sirima also worked for top international hotel brands, including Banyan Tree Spa, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai. She also established KhunSirima PR and Communications Agency in June 2015.

Sirima said: “Both of my current business endeavours, The Amiris and KhunSirima, provide bespoke international public relations and communications services for respected government organisations in Thailand. Adding TravelDailyNews Asia-Pacific to my professional portfolio only helps expand my knowledge of the region’s dynamic travel trade sector.”
