Da Nang Tourism Roadshow in Kaohsiung, Taiwan was organised to create networking opportunities with tourism firms in Kaohsiung and Da Nang, and to promote Jetstar Pacific Airlines’ new direct Kaohsiung – Da Nang flight.
Kaohsiung, Taiwan – Da Nang Department for Tourism recently organised Da Nang Tourism Roadshow in Kaohsiung, Taiwan to promote tourism products and services in Da Nang, connecting tourism firms in Kaohsiung and Da Nang as well as introducing the launch of new direct Kaohsiung – Da Nang flight by Jetstar Pacific Airlines in August 2019.
Mrs. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, said: “Da Nang Tourism Roadshow in Kaohsiung, Taiwan was organised to create networking opportunities with tourism firms in Kaohsiung and Da Nang. We believe the Central Coast Vietnam will offer various options for the tour operators. Not only a leisure destination, Da Nang is also a great travel spot of events and festivals at regional scale.”
Led by is Mrs. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the roadshow’s delegation comprised representatives of Da Nang Center for Tourism Promotion, Da Nang Tourism Association, together with tour operators, hotels in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. The event welcomed the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung – Chairman of Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, Kaohsiung Department of Tourism, Kaohsiung Tourism Association and more than 50 representatives of tourism businesses in Kaohsiung.
Taiwan is one of Da Nang’s top 10 international tourist markets. In 2018, Da Nang welcomed 36,400 Taiwanese tourists, a 30% increase compared to 2017. In the first quarter of 2019, a total of 14,219 Taiwanese tourists have visited Da Nang.
To keep pace with the growing demand, Jetstar Pacific Airlines is launching a new direct Kaohsiung – Da Nang service with three flights per week, starting from 10 August 2019. The airline currently operates on the Taipei – Da Nang route with five flights/week.
