Wyndham opens its largest Grand and Garden hotels in Phu Quoc, capitalizing on the island’s burgeoning tourism and favorable visa policies.

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts announced the grand openings of Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc and Wyndham Garden Phu Quoc, now the biggest Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Garden in the world.

Phu Quoc – Vietnam’s largest island – has become an especially attractive holiday destination in recent years and was named the World’s Leading Nature Island destination at the 2022 World Travel Awards. Also contributing to Phu Quoc’s booming tourism sector is Vietnam’s welcoming visa policy, which exempts foreigners from entry, exit, and transit visas for up to 45 days.

Capitalizing on these highlights, the grand opening of both hotels are timely as Korea just re-established direct flights into Phu Quoc this week, and more countries are expected to follow suit. The opening of the two hotels saw an attendance of over 300 guests, warmly officiated and welcomed by Joon Aun Ooi, President, Asia Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Vietnam holds a special place in Wyndham’s hearts, as it plays a pivotal role in our regional and global expansion strategy. The rapid rise of Phu Quoc as one of the country’s premier tourist destinations exemplifies the tremendous potential this market holds. We are confident that the returning tourism will bring more opportunities to both Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Garden Phu Quoc”, said Joon Aun.

As a distinctive property within Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, boasting 1378 rooms and 21 villas, we take immense pride in being the largest Wyndham Grand in the world. We offer a diverse range of experiences, from accommodation, relaxation, and dining to entertainment, catering to both domestic and international guests”, added Minh Ngo, General Manager, of Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc.

Bruno Cipriani, General Manager, Wyndham Garden Grandworld Phu Quoc further mentioned, “Nestled just a step away from the breath-taking Bai Dai Beach, our sprawling resort stands as a beacon of elegance, offering 921 exquisitely appointed rooms, each meticulously designed to envelop our esteemed guests in absolute comfort and opulence. Whether it’s the soft embrace of our plush bedding, the state-of-the-art amenities, or the panoramic views of the island’s natural beauty, every aspect of our accommodation has been carefully curated to ensure an unforgettable stay for every visitor.”
