Wyndham debuts in China-Taiwan region with two strategic hotel openings

Wyndham expands its presence in China-Taiwan with the addition of two marquee brands, adding 282 rooms to its extensive portfolio in the Greater China region.

SINGAPORE, TAIPEI – Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of TRYP by Wyndham New Taipei Linkou and Wyndham Sun Moon Lake in partnership with Qingyu Property Co. Ltd and Lijing Enterprise Co. Ltd, respectively. The openings mark the first hotels for each brand in the China-Taiwan region, signifying Wyndham’s commitment to growing its presence in the China-Taiwan market.

As China-Taiwan continues to be a top destination for holidaymakers across the globe, these hotels bring new accommodations to the region for travellers seeking unforgettable experiences at an affordable cost. According to the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, the region recorded over 2.6 million inbound arrivals in the first half of the year and is set to reach 6 million by the end of 2023. Interest in the country remains high with tourist numbers expected to hit 12 million in 2024, especially with recent resumption of allowing inbound tourists from mainland China.

TRYP by Wyndham New Taipei Linkou is located in the bustling city of Taipei, where guests can enjoy convenient access to its downtown area and easily travel to and from Taoyuan International Airport with a 20-minute car ride. The new 85-key hotel is tastefully decorated with vibrant colours, offering a trendy yet elegant abode for urban travellers and families seeking new adventures.

Guests can enjoy several dining options throughout the hotel, including the Margarate Buffet Restaurant which serves up international fare and Green Hills Japanese Cuisine. The hotel caters to business and bleisure travellers alike with easy access to the urban hub of New Taipei City, fully equipped meeting and conference rooms and access to a host of attractions such as Zhulin Mountain Buddhist Temple, Mitsui Outlet Park Linkou, Taiwan Socks Museum and A9 Global Mall.
