MACAU – Last night marked the grand celebration of The Karl Lagerfeld Macau where a stellar line-up of local and international A-list celebrities and guests paid tribute to the fashion legend whilst enjoying an unrivalled experience that only Macau and the exceptional hotel have to offer.
The Karl Lagerfeld Macau is the world’s only hotel tower with the interior entirely designed by the fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. Located at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau it is the latest property launched by SJM Resorts, S.A.

The evening kicked off with an officiating ceremony in the opulent lobby where you are greeted by a reception wall covered with over a thousand keys forming a unique KARL Kameo artwork. Guests continued the multisensory experience at The Karl Lagerfeld with extraordinary culinary delights and a party at The Grand Pavilion where they could enjoy an exclusive performance by Korean artist BamBam and an outstanding DJ set by supermodel Park Soo-joo.

Karl Lagerfeld’s design concept for The Karl Lagerfeld Macau stemmed from a sophisticated reimagining of modern Chinoiserie fused with traditional craftsmanship, bold colors and patterns meet tailored silhouettes. Each of the 271 rooms and suites showcases influences of both classic Chinese design and contemporary Western aesthetics: custom-created headboards were inspired by auspicious Chinese coins that represent good fortune, while porcelain vases were handmade in Jingdezhen and circular room dividers were inspired by traditional Chinese moon gates. Reflecting Karl Lagerfeld’s passion for collaboration, specially commissioned furnishings include exquisite sculptures by Dutch artist Marcel Wanders and French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, and Terzani chandeliers.
