This years Meeting Place will host over 3,500 business-to-business appointments between buyers and sellers, plus presentations by ATEC's ELITE emerging leaders class of 2017.

More than 400 industry leaders will converge on Perth next month as export tourism focuses on ‘New Frontiers‘ at the Australian Tourism Export Council‘s (ATEC) annual Meeting Place event being held at Crown Perth & Hyatt Regencyfrom 20-22 November.

ATEC is excited to be taking this year’s Meeting Place to Perth. Western Australia is a dynamic destination and there is a strong focus on growing the state’s share of international visitation,” ATEC Managing Director, Peter Shelley said.

In the past week we have seen Qantas make one of its most significant investments in the WA market, with its new Dreamliner set to begin servicing the Perth to London route from March next year.

“Qantas is to be congratulated for having the commitment and innovation to build an airline of the future that reflects both the needs of the modern traveller as well as supporting the growth of international visitors to capital city destinations across the country, including Perth, the gateway to Australia’s west.”

Along with a great line-up of speakers, this year’s Meeting Place will introduce the ‘Product Pitch‘, a unique opportunity for new tourism products to ‘pitch‘ their offering to over 90 international travel buyers

The Pitch’ is a new and unique opportunity for 20 ATEC members who have been in operation for less than 12 months or have a new offering within an existing portfolio, to put themselves in front of a huge number of buyers in a big way.

This years Meeting Place will host over 3,500 business-to-business appointments between buyers and sellers, plus presentations by ATEC’s ELITE emerging leaders class of 2017. The event will also feature tailored tours of Perth and surrounds and fantastic pre and post famils across the state.
