Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) has announced changes to its AIME hosted buyer program that will see its semi-hosted category eliminated and all buyers who qualify receiving fully hosted status. “All buyers who qualify for the program and reside outside Melbourne or Victoria will receive airfares, accommodation, airport transfers, entry to AIME 2008, entry to the Business Events Forum, Best in the Business Case Studies and the AIME Welcome Reception,” said AIME Event Director, Rosemarie Sama.

“Buyers who live within Victoria can apply for the program and will receive all benefits except airfares and accommodation.”

In order to qualify to attend AIME 2008 all prospective hosted buyers are asked a series of questions regarding their company, level of responsibility, type of events they organise, number and size of events, budget and in which geographical areas they intend to place business. They are also asked to provide details on previous and future events in the Asia Pacific region.

“We give preference to new buyers with business to place in the region. We also ensure that buyers with verified business to place in the region on an ongoing basis are considered for hosting, even if they have been hosted the year prior.”

To encourage early registration for the hosted buyer program, this year AIME has introduced an Early Bird Registration.

“Buyers who register and qualify for AIME 2008 by 10 October will receive a special gift from AIME,” said Rosemarie Sama.
