New Air Astana safety video embraces the natural beauty and culture of Kazakhstan

More than 100 people were involved in production of the video, including Kazakh composer Emil Dosov who wrote the music and Aisultan Seitov, who directed it.

On the eve of Nauryz, Kazakhstan’s traditional spring holiday, Air Astana has launched a new pre-flight safety video, which harmoniously interweaves important safety messages with stunning images of Kazakhstan’s natural beauty and culture.

More than 100 people were involved in production of the video, including Kazakh composer Emil Dosov who wrote the music and Aisultan Seitov, who directed it.

The new style of the safety video is intended to attract greater attention amongst passengers to flight safety rules, as well as increase awareness of the identity, natural beauty and culture of Kazakhstan.

Yelena Obukhova, Vice President of In-flight Services at Air Astana: “The magnificent nature, culture and traditions of Kazakhstan have inspired the concept of the new Air Astana safety video. During the video, passengers will not only learn about safety rules, but also enjoy viewing the landmarks of our country and hopefully be inspired to explore the unique character of Kazakhstan in person”.

Air Astana commenced its operations in May 2002 as a joint venture between Kazakhstan’s national wealth fund, Samruk Kazyna, and BAE Systems, with respective shares of 51% and 49%. The airline is a full-service international and domestic carrier, with its low-cost division, FlyArystan, rapidly growing in regional and domestic markets since being launched in 2019. The Air Astana Group now operates a fleet of 43 aircraft, comprising 35 Airbus A320/A321 family aircraft, three Boeing 767 and five Embraer E2.
