China Southern Airlines inaugurates a direct flight from Beijing Daxing to Macao, enhancing connectivity and supporting regional economic growth.
BEIJING, CHINA – In a significant boost to air travel connectivity between Macao and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, China Southern Airlines (CSN) successfully launched its maiden flight CZ6081 from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Macao. This milestone event not only diversifies the travel options for passengers but also facilitates greater economic and social development in Macao through enhanced transit and intercommunication capabilities with northeastern and northwestern China, Central and West Asia, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and America.
The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A321 aircraft, marked a new era in regional air travel, carrying 166 passengers. China Southern Airlines went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience for travelers, featuring special decorations, local Macao cuisines in the lounge, and engaging in-flight activities designed to create memorable moments for passengers.
Initially, the Beijing Daxing–Macao route will operate thrice weekly, with plans to increase to daily flights starting April 25. The airline’s expansion of international and regional direct routes from Beijing Daxing underscores its commitment to building a comprehensive aviation hub that meets the high-quality development standards set by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
CSN’s dedication to the core values of “Safety First and Customer Orientation” was evident in the meticulous planning of the whole-process service chain for the maiden flight. The airline offered passengers special service counters, mileage draws for Pearl Club members, and product benefits vouchers for those purchasing tickets above a certain value, enhancing the overall customer experience.
With the opening of additional routes from Beijing Daxing to global destinations, including Tehran and Riyadh, China Southern Airlines is poised to transform Daxing International Airport into a top-level gateway to the world. This initiative aligns with Beijing’s ambition to develop a world-class aviation hub, contributing significantly to the civil aviation sector’s strength and the region’s high-quality development.
Looking forward, China Southern Airlines will continue to play a pivotal role in promoting commercial and cultural exchanges between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through the construction of an efficient “air bridge,” the airline aims to support Macao’s integration into the national development framework and foster long-term prosperity and stability across these dynamic regions.
