Historic Camden Valley Inn wins major award as Best Family Friendly Hotel in NSW

One of the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, the AHA NSW Awards for Excellence was handed to the Camden Valley Inn for best family-friendly hotel in NSW.

AUSTRALIA – The historic Camden Valley Inn in the Macarthur region, one-hour south-west of Sydney, has been voted the best family-friendly hotel in NSW.

The accolade was awarded to the popular hotel at Camden at the recent Australian Hotels Association’s (AHA) NSW Awards for Excellence, recognised as the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry.

The Tudor-style inn, built in the 1930s on land once settled in 1805 by colonial pioneer John Macarthur, was also a finalist in four other award categories – best outdoor facility, best casual dining, outstanding community service and country hotel of the year.

At the AHA Awards in 2011, the four-star Camden Valley Inn won the award for the best pub-style accommodation in Australia.

Accepting the award at the AHA ceremony at the Westin Hotel in Sydney, Camden Valley Inn General Manager Martin Sinclair said: “We are thrilled to receive this outstanding recognition which reflects the exceptional dedication and passion our staff invest in our hotel.”

Overlooking the Macarthur countryside, the inn offers an outdoor pool, award-winning gardens, a country-style restaurant, an English-style pub now its own mini vineyard.
