WORLDHOTELS, in the field of independent hotels and local hotel groups has announced three new hotels in Asia effective January 2006. They include Shanghai’s largest conference centre hotel, the first resort-style hotel in Dongguan, South China and the first five star resort by a local Cambodian designer in Siem Reap.

The Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition International Hotel joins the First Class Collection, while the Richwood Garden Hotel Dongguan and the Angkor Palace Resort & Spa Siem Reap join the Deluxe Collection.

The announcement brings the total number of hotels in the WORLDHOTELS Asia portfolio to 70 and nearly 500 worldwide.

“After a highly successful year in 2005 we are delighted to start 2006 on a high with the announcement of these three great new properties,” said Roland Jegge, VP Asia/Pacific of WORLDHOTELS.

Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition International Hotel

Shanghai Everbright becomes the fourth WORLDHOTELS property in Shanghai and the 25th in its fast-expanding Greater China portfolio.

Richwood Garden Hotel

The Richwood Garden has a 1700 square metre international conference hall and several deluxe meeting rooms which can accommodate meetings of up to 1000 people. State of the art facilities include simultaneous multilingual translation facilities and broadband internet access.

Angkor Palace Resort & Spa

The resort is equipped for meetings and events and features the Royal Ballroom which can accommodate up to 200 theatre style or 300 for a cocktail reception. Other function rooms are also available for smaller events.
