Singapore’s Budget Terminal, a dedicated terminal for low cost carriers, is celebrating its first year anniversary with six weeks of shopping promotion, starting from 5 February to 18 March 2007. Besides attractive discounts of up to 70%, a weekly lucky draw will also allow passengers, who make purchases at any of the retail and food & beverage outlets, win up to 10 times of what they spent. Purchases charged to VISA credit card will have the winnings doubled.

On top of this, all six winners of the weekly draws will compete in a fun-filled and exciting contest – “Amazing Shopping Challenge”, at the Budget Terminal on 26 March 2007. The top winner will walk away with a free holiday at Angsana Resort & Spa Maldives Ihuru worth $10,000. 2 Passengers using Budget Terminal during the shopping promotion will enjoy the variety of valuefor-money products and services available at the terminal. There are 13 shops offering popular items ranging from perfumes and cosmetics, liquor and tobacco, snacks and tidbits, gifts and novelties, chocolates and candies, to fashion and accessories, books and magazines, convenience store, sporting

goods and general merchandise.

There are also four food kiosks and a restaurant at the terminal. 3 Budget Terminal started operations on 26 March last year and has seen steady growth in passenger traffic. It handled more than 1 million passenger movements barely ten months from commencing operations. In December 2006, the terminal’s monthly passenger traffic movement peaked at 173,393. The terminal serves Tiger Airways and Cebu Pacific, which operate a total of 264 weekly scheduled flights to 17 cities in 7 countries as at 1 February 2007.
