Singapore Tourism Board will host its highest-ever number of exhibitors on its pavilion at this year’s Arabian Travel Market 2007, building on its record-breaking tourism figures from the Middle East. With major attractions, leading hotel chains, innovative travel agents, and a number of first-time exhibitors all on display, representatives of the Board are confident that Singapore’s stand will draw strong travel trade interest.

Singapore’s tourism industry has been one of the leading reasons for its strong economic growth with visitors exceeding the nine million mark last year, generating an estimated US$ 7.2 billion in tourism revenue in 2006.

“Singapore is rapidly becoming one of the major ‘destinations of choice’ for Middle East travelers and we are excited about our expanding range of services, activities, events and popular attractions,” said Ke-Wei Peh, area director, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board.

“We have so much to offer in terms of family-friendly attractions that we are encountering strong demand for travel packages from across the region,” he added.

Exhibitors at ATM

Exhibitors on the Singapore stand include attractions such as the Sentosa Leisure Group; Island Leisure; and Underwater World Singapore.

Additionally, renowned hotels and resorts including the Ritz Carlton; the Four Seasons Hotel; first time exhibitors Raffles Hotel; Park Hotel Orchard; and Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa will be making their way over for the ATM.

Top of the line travel providers Uniglobal Holidays; Discovery Holidays; and The Traveler will be present throughout the event, alongside Millennium Tours & Travel; Look Asia Holiday; and Tradewinds Tours & Travel will also be on display.

“Singapore’s stress-free setting, captivating cultural diversity, superb facilities and tourist attractions play a significant role in creating unique experiences for every type of visitor. We’ve no doubt that our participation at this year’s Arabian Travel Market will be our most successful yet,” said Peh.
