Sheraton Macao Hotel succeeded in breaking Guinness World Records for most people opening bottles in a relay.
MACAU – Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, the world’s largest Sheraton and Macau’s biggest hotel, officially launched its first authentic Oktoberfest within Cotai Strip Resorts Macao. Sheraton Macao Hotel is honored to have Mr. Manuel Goncalves Pires Junior, Deputy Director of Macau Government Tourist Office together with Sheraton Macao Hotel’s General Manager of Sales & Marketing Ms. Ruth Boston and General Manager of Operations Mr. Kai Petry as the officiating guests at the opening ceremony for the 11-day festival.
The highlight of the opening ceremony was the successful attempt at breaking Guinness World Records for Most people opening bottles in a relay, where Sheraton Macao Hotel’s guests and associates, together with the local community, joined forces as a 455-strong team to break this record.
“Since the opening of Sheraton Macao Hotel on September 20, 2012, we have introduced many exciting experiences for guests of all ages, including families. In less than a year of our grand opening, we welcomed our one millionth guest in August and won three prestigious hospitality awards. Tonight, our hotel guests and associates together with the local community made a successful attempt in breaking Guinness World Records for Most people opening bottles in a relay, helping to achieve yet another milestone for Sheraton Macao Hotel,” said Ms. Ruth Boston, Sheraton Macao Hotel’s General Manager of Sales & Marketing.
Ms Boston added, “In launching the Sheraton Macao Hotel’s Oktoberfest, we are creating a great social gathering place for families, friends and work colleagues, to come together and share the most authentic Bavarian experience without making a trip to Germany.”
