China tourists can take Air New Zealand to Samoa and transit in Auckland every Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays; take Fiji Airways to Samoa and transit in Hong Kong and Fiji; take Virgin Samoa to Samoa and transit in Sydney Brisbane or Auckland.
BEIJING – The Samoan Ambassador to China, Mr. Toomata stated on the “Samoa Sharing” hosted by South Pacific Connection on June 25th that Samoa attaches great importance to China’s tourism market, and is discussing to launch direct flight from China to Samoa with China related companies.
Mr. Toomata also mentioned Samoa at present receives approximately 2,000 Chinese tourists annually. Samoa and China both have a long history. One Chinese investor is planing to build a hotels with 1,500 rooms in Samoa.
Samoa is the first country west to the International Date Line and the first place to see the sunshine on the earth, formerly known as Western Samoa. It is a country encompassing the western part of the Samoan Islands in the South Pacific Ocean, composed by two main islands, Upolu and Savai’i, and other seven small islands. To Sua Trench and natural wind tunnel are named as world wonders. Samoa also owns mesmerizing lagoons and well-protected coral. It is a perfect place for jungle adventure, diving, golf and other leisure activities.

Samoa allows 60 days visa-free stay for Chinese tourists. The flight time from Samoa to New Zealand is 1.5 hours; to Australia is 3 hours.
