Russia: The number of delayed charter flights increased by 20%

The number of delayed flights of commercial civil aviation during the period from August 6 to August 12 increased by more than 20% in comparison with the period from July 30 to August 5, reported the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.   

According to the Ministry, 115 charter flights were delayed during indicated period.

In this connection, the number of passengers affected by the delays, increased by more than 20% (+2.8 thousand people) and amounted to almost 14 thousand people.
 
According to the Ministry of Transport, the leading company in number of delays became Sibir with 12 delays during the week. The second place took Nebesny express and Tatarstan air companies.

The majority of the delays happened due to the bad weather conditions and also through the air companies’ faults, specified the Ministry.
